who conducted the latest study to attempt to convince the public that TdaP vaccination during pregnancy is safe would try to either do better science, or better hide their bad science.

OK. STOP. REALLY. PRE-TERM BIRTHS ARE A VERY SERIOUS CONCERN. WHAT IF TDAP USE IN PREGNANCY CAUSES PRE-TERM BIRTHS??? I’m sure pregnant women would like to know. IT GETS WORSE:

ICD-10 coding was not available for hospitalization diagnoses in the United States during the time of this study.
WAIT, YOU HAD ICD-10 FOR EXTERNAL CAUSES OF DEATH, BUT YOU LOST THE BOOK FOR ‘HOSPITALIZATION DIAGNOSES’???
LOOK AT THE FIGURE, THEY ALSO EXCLUDED CASES THAT HAD MULTIPLE VACCINES. YOU CAN BET THEY WON’T NOT GIVE MULTIPLE VACCINES TO PREGNANT WOMEN (TRANSLATIONAL FAILURE).
They also excluded >16,000 who had no prenatal care. Why exclude them? Oh, they didn’t take folic acid, and were not exposed to pertussis by health care workers who are silent carriers because they vaccinate against pertussis every 10 years.
THEY EXCLUDED THE UNVACCINATED.
THIS IS HARVARD? THIS IS YALE?? They should ask their faculty with their names on this garbage to request that the ‘study’ be withdrawn.
But, not to worry. The exclusion criteria were approved by…
THE US CDC.
And I never even got to the over-correction (model over-fit) and use of covariates as confounders. What’s the point?
If I were a pregnant woman, and I was offered Tdap or influenza, I’d get up and leave and find another ob/gyn. Or I’d home birth. Yikes.

but the mothers of the unvaccinated infants had been vaccinated while pregnant, so the infants may still show injury…this was the only excluded group that confused me (I would think they’d want to keep that group included – wouldn’t it would increase their “positive” results?)

Very telling is the exclusion of women who had a vaccine within 7 days before delivery considering many “spontaneous” births happen well within 7 days of maternal vaccination.

Reminds me of a German report that had examined 5 cases being suspectible to be vaccination damages. In order to qualify for a potential vaccination damage for the German Paul-Ehrlich-Institute the following conditions had to be fullfilled a) there had to be no history of illness before vaccination, b) the damage had to occur within 48 hours after the vaccination, and be a serious and permanent one. Both conditions had been met in those 5 cases. In fact, as for b) the 5 babies and todlers without previous illness had died within 48 hours of giving them the same kind of vaccine (it was against pertussis, but maybe in combination with other vaccines, two cases had been with the same prediatrician bwt, so might have come from the same contaminated batch).The 5 dead babies/todlers were thoroughly examined and in fact had exactly the same kind of changes in their brain, like after an enzephalitis. The stories about what happened after the vaccine till death were also very similar.
Then the first truly perverse thing happens: Apparently against their own rules, the report came up with another condition that needs to be fullfilled: c) the babies that were not yet 12 months old, were declared to be sudden infant death babies, because each death that cannot be explained is by definition a sudden infant death. Great isn’t it? In particular as the 14 vaccines recommended in early childhood are recommened to be given within the first 14 months now! At that time though where the babies died, the vaccination time had been less determined , it was rather like in the first 2 years or before the kids went to kindergarden (age 3). The sudden infant death miracuously defined 2 of the 5 cases away. But at least the remaining 3 cases qualified for being a vaccine damage. The report was passed on from the national to the European level. And what happened there? For no reason whatsowever, the corresponding European org found no vaccine damage in the remaining 3 cases either ! So the cases were buried officially also on the national level. Since I have read the corresponding report from Paul-Ehrlich-Institute directly on their website, I have stopped believing in any serious examination of cases suspectible of a vaccination damage.
